Our Mission

UST Workforce Solutions was formed to provide nonprofit organizations with access to cost-saving programs and services that improve their ability to attract, retain, and engage employees.

Our Story

Over 40 years ago, forward-thinking nonprofit leaders formed UST Trust to help nonprofit employers save on state unemployment expenses by opting out of the state system. After all, why should nonprofits with stable employment have to pay more than their fair share?

As the nonprofit world matured, so did their HR responsibilities It became clear that small and medium-sized nonprofit employers needed more than just cost savings. They had compliance concerns, faced complex changing laws at the state level, and needed the ability to scale employee training.

By leveraging the experience of 2,200+ nonprofits, UST Workforce Solutions developed access to much-needed nonprofit workforce solutions in HR, administration and risk management providing resources to build strong, effective workforces for the future.

40 Years of Stability: Founded by Nonprofits in 1983

  • Managed over $1.4 billion in member assets
  • Paid more than $1.2 billion in unemployment claims
  • Generated $132.5 million in investment returns to offset expenses

How can we help your nonprofit save money?
